It all began when Pastor was saved in 1979. One morning pastor woke up and went downstairs to where he would work out before going to his secular job as a package pickup attendant. As he was working out he heard a voice enter the room that said, are you going to heaven?"  he thought at first that the voice came from outside but there was no one there. His heart became overwhelmed by a piece that was indescribable. 

Going to work with this epiphany on his mind he began to ask questions to his fellow employees concerning his experience. a woman named Betty then takes out a bible and asks pastor to place his hand upon it and ask the Lord about the experience. Pastor goes ahead and places his hand upon the bible and opened it at random coming to Isaiah 53. As he read the verse the voice that he heard in his dining room where he was working out whispered in his ear,  "it is me Jesus". Struggling to compose himself he closed the book and swiftly dismissed himself. 

After quickly pulling himself together he resumed his responsibilities. About and hour later he was able to take a fifteen minute break, so he goes out into the Smith Haven mall to relax and as he was accustom to doing, crossed his legs to meditate as he focused on relaxing. Suddenly an unknown woman passes him by throwing a track at him and says to him give it up, I love you, I'm jealous, follow me instead. Pastor who was and still is married with four children thought to himself, "wow people are really crazy I better go back to work"  

The establishment that pastor worked in offered two fifteen minutes breaks and an hour for lunch so lunch time came and pastor figures that he would have his sandwich outside of the building on the stone bench instead of inside the mall where there are to many crazies. 

After eating his sandwich he habitually crossed his legs and began to meditate as he stared at a stone on the ground to relax. Suddenly a fellow worker that worked in the auto center building across from the main building passed pastor by, stopped , turned around and said, "I don't know why I'm telling you this, I'm not religious, but God does not want you doing that, staring at a rock." he told John the fellow employee that he was getting closer to God. John's response to him was, "There is even a better way and that isn't it."

Feeling like he was being followed by an unseen force, pastor began to sense that he was being called. The next day he told the story to his friend Bob as they walked in the mall together when suddenly the name Nikodemus came to pastors mind like a whisper in the wind. Pastor asked Bob, "Who is Nikodemus?,  "why do you ask," Bob replied . "I just heard the name Nikodemus in my ear." Pastor didn't own a bible at the time so he told Bob, "let's go into the book store to the religious section." Pastor grabs a bible as he recalled the incident with Betty, randomly opened it and pointed to a random word as his finger fell directly on the word Nikodemus. "No." Bob exclaimed, "Yes," pastor replied, "look it is the name Nikodemus." Bob was shocked with awe, "What does it say,? Bob asked. "It says that we must be born again," pastor replied, "so let's just proclaim Jesus and be born again. Thus the journey began.    

Ten years later In 1989 Christian Fellowship was founded by Pastor Patrick Cataldo preaching the full Gospel message. Every message seems to bring light to present day situations. Pastor is now in fellowship with regional churches, and in right standing with the community of believers in Jesus of like precious faith on Long Island in New York. Pastor's wife Josie Cataldo is a tremendous asset to Pastor, she received the lord as a result of a prayer that Pastor had in his early years of walking with Jesus. 

We Believe in the bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative word of God. We believe that their is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Ghost. We Believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the father, and in his personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years. We believe in the blessed hope which is the rapture of the church at Christ's coming. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through the Grace of repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross provides healing in answer to believing prayer. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4 is given to the believers who ask for it. We believe in the sanctifying power of the holy ghost by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. We believe in the resurrection of those that call upon the name of the Lord.
